Kansas casino plans made public

2010-02-10 15:46:32

A new casino planned for Kansas could be one step closer to completion following the release of design proposals for the project.

According to Kansascity.com, the gambling establishment will be located in Wyandotte County and is likely to be open for business at some point in 2012.

Situated on turn two of the local speedway track, the venue is estimated to cost around $386 million and will measure 100,000 sq ft.

The news provider added that 2,300 slot machines are to be on the premises, as well as 86 table games.

Developer for the venture International Speedway Corp has also outlined its intentions to provide additional amenities to the area.

These are likely to include a hotel, convention center, a retail park, an extended gaming area and a spa.

It follows recent reports from the Associated Press that residents in the state are looking forward to the changes that expanding gambling operations may bring.
