Famous Las Vegas gaming venue Caesars Palace kicked off its latest Mega Stack series yesterday.
Timed to rival the Deep Stack Extravaganza at the Venetian, the tournament at Caesars Palace will feature 40 tournaments, all of which are no-limit hold'em events.
It opened with a $1,000 no-limit hold'em competition and is set to conclude with the $2,000 buy-in championship event.
Throughout the course of the series, which runs until July 10th, there will be games with buy-ins of $300, $500 and $1,000.
Blind levels in the competitions will always be 50 minutes, with the exception of the main event, when the blind levels will be 60 minutes.
The champions in events one to 36 will earn seats in the forthcoming World Series of Poker main event.
Players who earn spots in this tournament will leave Caesars Palace to play in the 13-day competition, which starts on July 3rd.
If they get through to the final table, they will return to the Rio Hotel and Casino in November to play in the last nine.
