2009-05-28 16:34:35

The opening super satellite events in the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza kick off today (May 28th) at the Las Vegas Venue.

A total of 48 events will be held at the Venetian throughout the summer, culminating in a $5,000 no-limit hold'em championship.

This competition will stretch over two days, but every other event at the Venetian is a one-day competition.

Buy-ins at the famous casino range from $300 to $5,000 and the majority of the games available are no-limit hold'em tournaments.

However, those like to vary the styles of poker they play will be able to participate in a $500 HORSE event as well as a $500 pot-limit Omaha and $500 Omaha eight-or-better tournament.

This year there are four Deep Stack Extravaganza's being held at the Venetian, the last of which is set to begin on November 1st.

The Venetian is the largest AAA five-diamond resort in the Americas and it has featured in a number of motion pictures, including Rat Race and Resident Evil: Extinction.
