A wide range of cash games are set to take place in Las Vegas during this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP), it has been predicted.
CardPlayer.com noted that professionals can often look forward to these as much as the WSOP tournaments themselves.
Joe Parks, card room manager at the Rio, noted that his casino will be willing to host games with all manner of stakes, providing there is enough interest.
"If there are enough players to start a game, we'll spread anything the players want. We go as low as $2-$5 no-limit and as high as they're willing to play for," he was quoted as saying.
The news source noted that the WSOP in fact started out to facilitate cash games, but television coverage has played a part in seeing the focus shift to tournaments.
A team format is set to be included for the first time at this year's event, with Dream Team Poker hosting a tournament on July 12th and 13th.
