New Jersey casino a "stable employer"

2009-05-18 17:32:57

A casino in New Jersey is helping to create jobs, it has been observed.

The Morning Call reports that the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem has been welcomed by a local property developer, due to the influx of tenants.

Lewis Zlotnick, president of Woodmont Properties, told the news source that its development - around three miles from the casino - is in demand from its employees.

''It's a good, stable employer. People are coming in with good-paying jobs from all over the country," he was quoted as saying.

As a result, the building was fully leased a month earlier than had been planned, with one casino worker - Pam Frebel - explaining that she can drive to work in five minutes.

Lakes Entertainment recently submitted a proposal to build a new casino resort in Sumner County, Kansas, stating that over 1,700 jobs could be created in the area as a result.
