$33m slots win for casino gambler

A lucky gambler in the US won one of the largest jackpots in slot machine history over the weekend, receiving $33,000,563 in one go on a Megabucks terminal at Terrible's Rail City Casino on Sunday (April 12th) night.

Rachael Renee Romanick, a 38-year-old from Reno, Nevada, hit the MegaJackpot after ten minutes of playing the IGT game and claimed she could not believe it at first.

"I had to ask someone if this was for real," she remarked. "I kind of froze because this was so unexpected."

Ms Romanick appeared to be doubly fortunate because she had initially not planned to go to the casino at all.

She said that she owes the win to her friend who managed to persuade her not to stay at home.

Rail City Casino features more than 900 slot machines in total, along with a keno lounge, a sportsbook and the Royal Match blackjack game.
