Pinnacle announces annual growth

2009-03-06 16:47:12

The Pinnacle Entertainment hotel and casino group has announced annual growth for the fourth quarter of 2008.

It was noted that for the last three months of the year revenues were up to $259 million - an increase of 18.1 per cent on 2007's figure of $219 million.

The group reported this success was in part due to the expansion of a number of its operations including the L'Auberge du Lac venue in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Lumiere Place, Missouri.

Daniel R. Lee, Pinnacle's? chairman and chief executive officer, said the firm had been able to cope well with the recent economic downturn.

"Same-store results increased versus last year's fourth quarter due to continued strength at our Louisiana properties," he said. "Lumiere Place also continues to ramp up."

Lumiere Place is a 75,000 square foot casino venue that the company website states "demands attention" and hosts the latest in video gaming.
