Aliante Casino eatery gets rave review

2009-01-29 11:58:45

The Pips restaurant at the Aliante Station Casino in Las Vegas has been given a rave review by Las Vegas Weekly.

Critic Max Jacobson called the Italian eatery "one of this year's big surprises" and claimed the venue offers quality food and wine at reasonable prices.

Among the diner's best deals is the bistecca, which at $35 makes Pips one of the cheapest places in Sin City where customers can order 12 ounces of wagyu beef from Australia.

"Take one highly seasoned food and wine professional. Then add a brilliant young chef and a sleek modern design. The result is Pips," Mr Jacobson wrote.

Pips - full-name Pips Cucina and Wine Bar - is one of six eateries at the Aliante, along with MRKT Sea & Land, Food Court Favs, TGI Fridays, Feast Buffet, Camacho's and Original Pancake House.

It is open seven days a week from 17:00 local time.
