Bellagio for stranded Winston

2008-12-22 12:07:34

World Poker Tour titlist Roy Winston elected to stay at the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas last week when the weather prevented his planned trip to Palm Spings.

The Oracle wrote in his Card Player blog that he managed to get 25 minutes away from Las Vegas by car before being stopped by a roadblock and after finding himself unable to get a flight instead, he returned to the Bellagio, where he played online poker with some friends.

Bobby's Room at the Bellagio is one of the most famous poker venues in the world and the casino hosted the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Classic last week, in which Winston was a participant.

However, he has gone on record as saying in the past that it is not his favourite place to play poker and has suggested he prefers the Borgata in Atlantic City instead.

That location was the site of his biggest victory, in the Borgata Poker Classic in 2007.
