Real estate mogul Donald Trump has suggested that he is relatively unaffected by recent troubles impacting the gambling industry in the US.
Over the last few months, Trump has been vocal about the problems facing the country's casinos, particularly in Atlantic City, where three resorts bear his name.
However, according to the New York Daily News, The Apprentice host has implied that even a disaster in the gaming sector would not have too big an effect on his business operations because he has so much equity elsewhere.
"I don't own those casinos, I just own stock," Trump remarked. "They're less than one percent of my assets. I'm buying a lot of things at prices I never thought possible."
Earlier this year, it was announced that the Trump Marina Hotel Casino in AC would be sold for $316 million to Coastal Marina, which intends to transform the venue in to a Margaritaville.
