MGM Grand restaurant picks up rave review

2008-11-20 12:10:28

Alta Strada, a new restaurant that opened in MGM Grand at Foxwoods earlier this year, has had praise heaped upon it by a reviewer in Connecticut newspaper the Day.

Charles Clark stated that the eatery is 'another feather in the cap' for head chef Michael Schlow - one of the biggest names in Boston's dining community - and claimed it "is a shame" that a place that ranges from very good to excellent should have gone unnoticed for so long.

"I fervently hope Alta Strada survives the downturn in casino business. It's simply too good to lose," he remarked.

Among the aspects drawing particular attention from Mr Clark were the quality of food, service and decor, which he described as "sleek, warm and subtly lit".

Foxwoods Resort Casino is one of the world's largest gaming facilities and has featured an MGM Grand annex, part of a $700 million extension, since May.
