Some of the biggest names in the world of poker are set to make an appearance at Caesars Palace Las Vegas for $10,000 main event which is set to begin today (October 28th).
PokerPages.com reported that the 2008 Caesar's Palace Classic will conclude with the 17th and final event this week.
At last year's inaugural event, the prize pool was valued at $2.72 million, while the casino chipped in a total of $126,000 to create a first-place prize valued at $1 million.
David Singer of Las Vegas, Nevada bested a total of 286 other players at last year's tournament, beating Thang Pham of Garland Texas, who walked away with the second-place prize and $480,167.
Caesars Palace Las Vegas, which is located on the city's world-famous Strip, features more than 129,000 square feet of casino space with table games, slots and an 8,500-square-foot poker room with an adjacent tournament area measuring 6,000 square feet.
The Caesar's Palace Poker Room contains 30 tables with a number of top games on offer, including seven card stud and Texas Hold'Em.
