Hilton Casino Resort 'impresses in Atlantic City'

2008-10-27 22:23:26

The Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort, with its 60,000-square-foot gaming spread, impressed St Petersburg Times writer Si Liberman and his wife during their three-day trip to Atlantic City.

Poker facilities at the site include a 22-table poker room with Omaha, 7-Card Stud and Texas Hold'Em on the second level of the casino.

Mr Liberman stated that 800-room complex features a total of seven restaurants, as well as a theater and a health spa.

The couple's deluxe room - which cost $900 for three nights - overlooked the northern part of Atlantic City and its beach, he wrote. It contained a king-sized bed with an ultra-soft mattress cover, as well as a 32-inch television and sofa bed.

He added that that the New Jersey destination has seen significant changes since his last visit in 2001, with a total of 4,000 hotel rooms constructed between 2001 and 2008 and another 2,500 rooms currently under development.

In total, the city has 11 casinos in operation. In addition to the Hilton Resort Casino, a $4 million MGM-Mirage complex - based on the development of the same name in Las Vegas - is in the stages of predesign and development.
