Venetian Real Deal rehearsals 'went well'

2008-10-14 12:17:55

Doyle Brunson has revealed that rehearsals are underway for the Real Deal live poker show that begins at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas on October 21st.

In his blog, the Texas Dolly said the practice - which involved him and Scotty Nguyen playing against six audience members - "went very well".

"We are going to have a lot of fun with this," he added.

Brunson did not reveal who came out on top in the game, but Nguyen has arguably been in the better form of late.

The Vietnamese-American won his fifth World Series of Poker bracelet over the summer in one of the most prestigious events, the $50,000 HORSE World Championship.

He followed that up with cash finishes in World Poker Tour, Partouche Poker Tour and European Poker Tour (EPT) competitions, most recently coming fifth in the EPT London High Roller Showdown, which was worth $241,195.
