Shorr enjoyed Vegas trip

2008-10-13 12:32:51

Shannon Shorr has revealed that he had fun on his recent trip to Las Vegas, which marked his return to the live poker circuit for the first time in just under three months.

The Alabaman wrote in his blog that he "played mostly flawlessly" in a $2,000 competition at the Bellagio and was slightly disappointed to only finish in fifth position.

However, this did not appear to put too much of a dampener on the small vacation, as he remarked: "This little weekend trip turned out a little bit profitable and I had a really good time."

Shorr has revealed in the past he enjoys Las Vegas and spent much of the second quarter of the year in the Nevada gaming mecca, sharing a house for several months as he competed in several major tournaments, including the majority of the World Series of Poker.

He believes his fifth-place finish will lift him up from 13th to ninth in Card Player's player of the year competition.
