Poker ace looking forward to SkyCity Casino visit

The prospect of going to SkyCity Casino in Auckland, New Zealand has got one famous card sharp excited.

Joe Hachem, the second biggest money winner in live tournament poker history, will be at the venue in October to compete in the country's biggest poker competition.

He will also be running a personalised seminar with Lee Nelson on October 9th, in which those in attendance can learn some Texas hold'em secrets from the professionals.

"I am truly looking forward to my first visit to Auckland in October and playing in New Zealand's premier poker tournament at SkyCity Casino," Hachem remarked.

Hailing from Melbourne, Hachem is arguably the most famous poker player from the southern hemisphere, with his victory in the 2005 World Series of Poker main event ensuring his place in the sport's history.

He won a World Poker Tour title the following year, helping to take his career earnings over the $10 million mark.
