Lumiere a "really great facility"

The Lumiere Place Casino & Hotel in St Louis has been praised by a top poker professional.

World Poker Tour (WPT) titlist Roy Winston suggested in his Card Player blog that he has been having a great time at the venue this week, where he is staying along with 2008 World Series of Poker main event frontrunner Dennis Philips.

Winston has been coaching Philips in preparation for the November final table and this week has been used to get in some more work before the favourite heads off to London.

Commenting on the Lumiere, Winston remarked: "It is really a great facility and the poker room is in love with Dennis - and why not? He is the local hero."

The Oracle often discusses the casinos he visits in his blog, with some coming in for much more praise than others.

He has stated on numerous occasions how fond he is of the Borgata in Atlantic City, the venue where he won his WPT crown.
