London EPT 'will be tour highlight'

The London leg of the European Poker Tour (EPT) may be one of the "highlights" of the international event, according to the editor of Inside Poker magazine.

Calling the London event "massively popular", Alan Bowden asserted that the guaranteed first prize of £1 million will also attract attention.

"It also comes shortly after the World Series of Poker Europe which will mean that a lot of the big name pros will already be in London so we should see a really big attendance and turn out," Mr Bowden explained.

Taking place between October 1st and 5th, the EPT London will be followed by the PokerStars.com EPT London £1 million Showdown, which will be held on October 5th and 6th.

The fifth season of the EPT kicked off last week with an event in Barcelona that ran from September 10th to September 14th.

Meanwhile, the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe is set to take place at Leicester Squares Victoria Casino and will run from September 19th to October 2nd.
