Casino upgrades volcano

A Las Vegas casino has revealed it is undergoing a multi-million dollar facelift as its volcano image now looks dated, it has been reported.
The Mirage hotel-casino announced it is replacing its iconic erupting volcano, which erupts molten looking red water along the Las Vegas strip, is to be upgraded with the installation of 120 new fireball throwing devices, according to the Associated Press.
Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart will compose a drum score to play with the choreographed eruptions which will spout fire up to 12 feet into the air.
Jim Doyle, director of new technologies at the California-based design firm WET, told the news provider: "It looks dangerous, but in reality it's not. We just want people to stand back on their heels."
Scott Sibella, the president of MGM Mirage which owns the casino, added: "It does draw thousands of people for every eruption
but the challenge is getting them inside the property."
The casino first opened on November 22nd 1989.
