Venetian draws Winston's praise

2008-08-11 15:38:52

The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas has been praised by Roy Winston for having high quality poker facilities.

Winston, a World Poker Tour titlist, suggested to readers of his Card Player blog that the venue has some of the best deep-stack events on offer in Nevada, as well as possessing "good" high-stakes cash games.

The Oracle added that the poker room itself "is really nice", commenting particularly on how comfortable it was.

Winston has been at the venue for the last few days coaching journalist Jonathan Evans to play tournament poker.

The Venetian is one of the biggest and most luxurious casinos in the world.

It opened its doors in 1999 and has gone on to win a series of awards for its dining facilities.

Well-known chef Thomas Keller, who has three Michelin stars, is behind the resort's Bouchon restaurant, which is just one of 17 eateries available.
