$500k winner at Thunder Valley

A progressive poker jackpot of over $500,000 has been won by a player from Northern California at the Thunder Valley Casino near Sacramento.

The gambler hit a seven-card straight flush, as well as a side wager, to win on the Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive.

As the hand is the highest in the game, it pays out 8,000 to 1 and 100 per cent of the jackpot.

To be eligible to win, punters include a small progressive wager as well as their standard bets.

The Fortune Pai Gow Poker Progressive is the first of its kind to be released since Shuffle Master acquired the Table Game Division of the Progressive Gaming International Corporation.
