Casinos can be vulnerable to advantage blackjack players no matter how difficult the game is, an expert has suggested.
The Southtown Star quoted Mark Blackman of the Grand Victoria Casino as saying that despite always watching out for these types of gamblers, resorts cannot protect themselves completely.
Discussing the chances of a group similar to the legendary MIT blackjack team trying to take advantage of his casino's new double-deck blackjack offering, he remarked: "Fewer cards mean it's easier to understand what's in and what's out, but they can be tough everywhere.
"Even on a six-deck shoe, they'll crush you."
The MIT team's achievements were highlighted in recent Kevin Spacey movie 21, which was released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US this week.
During the 1980s, the group won millions of dollars from Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos by following a special mathematical system. The film received poor reviews, but did well at the box office.
