A new era is set to dawn on the Wild Rose Casino as it prepares to open its doors to the gaming public in Iowa.
The Wild Rose had previously operated a casino on the Mississippi Belle II riverboat but the venue has been moved inland and now sits just off 777 Wild Rose Drive in the town of Clinton.
Various activities and celebrations are set to get underway in honor of the grand opening of the new venue, which will boast almost 600 slot machines and 14 table games.
The casino is part of a larger leisure complex, which incorporates a 60-room hotel, a sports bar and buffet restaurant.
"This is the beginning of a new era and tradition for our players and guests," said Tim Bollman, general manager of Wild Rose Clinton.
Meanwhile, a new $200 million casino complex was this week officially opened by Mohegan Sun in the north-east of Pennsylvania.
