Moncton casino plans attacked

A Canadian newspaper has launched a scathing attack upon the proposed design for a new casino in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The Times&Transcript criticised the planners of the venue, suggesting that a lighthouse motif - which will act as the building's centrepiece - is "out of place" and "chintzy".
A poster on the publication's website appeared to agree with the sentiments
"Nova Scotia already has a nautical-themed casino. I find this design lacks a lot of originality," the person remarked.
"Frankly, it seems as though they just took the easy way out."
The casino will cost $90 million to build and will contain 600 slot machines, as well as 20 table games and eight poker tables.
There will also be a 120-room hotel as part of the complex, along with a convention centre, spa and swimming pool.
Sonco Gaming is behind the project, which will be paid for using private funds, according to the Canadian Press.
