Caesars Indiana to open WSOP Circuit

Caesars Indiana has been chosen as the casino to kick off the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit for 2008-2009.
The Harrah's Entertainment-owned riverboat resort, which recently changed its name to Horseshoe Southern Indiana, will host the first leg of the tournament series, which begins on October 2nd.
Horseshoe Hammond near Chicago will take over the venue duties on October 24th, followed by Harveys Lake Tahoe in Nevada, Harrah's Atlantic City, Harrah's Tunica in Mississippi and Iowa's Horseshoe Council Bluffs.
The final four legs will be held at Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah's Rincon in San Diego, Caesars Palace and Harrah's New Orleans respectively.
May 20th marks the day when the series come to an end.
Jeffrey Pollack, spokesman for the WSOP, commented: "We continue to fine tune the WSOP Circuit schedule and structures to deliver poker players the best tournaments throughout the year."
The last big name to take down a WSOP Circuit competition was Allen Cunningham, who won the Caesars Palace event earlier in 2008.
