Casinos in the US would do well to follow the way that Macau gaming resorts treat their customers.
At least this is what has been suggested by Alan Silver, Casino Resorts Studies director at a university in Biloxi.
Mr Silver told the Mississippi Sun Herald that he went to Macau to give a presentation on looking after customers at the G2E Asia conference, but came back thinking: "We've got a lot to learn about how they've done customer service."
The expert explained that the majority of the casino executives he spoke to seemed determined to find out how they can further improve their businesses, a possible explanation why Macau now outstrips Las Vegas in terms of gaming revenue by such a considerable amount.
Macau was a Portuguese colony until 1999, when it became part of China. It is currently the only region in the entire country where casino gambling is allowed.
