Those going on vacation in the Nevada gaming mecca that is Las Vegas are spending less time there than they used to.
At least this is the opinion of Phil Martin, editor of Casino Review, who claimed the economy is affecting the length of time people are spending in the US gambling capital.
Mr Martin also said that punters are not spending as much money within the city due to the effects of the credit crunch.
"People are having less of a five-star experience and are going for maybe three days instead of a week or going to one show instead of four," he remarked.
The magazine boss's opinions are backed up in part by the latest figures from the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority.
According to the body, there was a one per cent decrease in the number of visitors to the city in March 2008, compared to the same period in 2007.
Revenue declines have also been reported by major casino operators such as Harrah's Entertainment and MGM Mirage in recent months.
