US broadcaster NBC has shown that it has confidence in the Caesars Palace casino in Las Vegas by giving it a four-year contract to be the venue for one of it programmes.
Caesars has hosted the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship since 2006 and will do so until 2012 thanks to the new deal, which was announced today.
Commenting on the agreements, NBC Sports spokesman Jon Miller said: "Caesars Palace is world famous for their poker room, so there is no better place in Las Vegas for us to hold the National Heads-Up Poker Championship."
The resort took over the hosting duties for the world's premier heads-up tournament from the Golden Nugget, which was the site for the inaugural event in 2005.
Three of the competition's four winners have been crowned at Caesars - Ted Forrest, Paul Wasicka and Chris Ferguson.
Phil Hellmuth, the 11-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder, is the only champion who has not.
