Is Ultimate Texas hold'em the best new casino game?

2008-05-19 16:10:53

Roger Snow's Ultimate Texas hold'em could be the finest new game to hit casinos in recent years, an expert has suggested.

However, Frank Scoblete, who made the implication, was not exactly full of praise for the fresh spin on three-card poker.

Writing for the Casino City Times, the craps author commented: "It seems to me that of all the new games this one might not be so bad."

He was responding to a letter from a reader named Jack, who had said he enjoyed playing the game recently and won some money on it.

Mr Scoblete referred him to the Wizard of Odds website for a full dissection of the game, which is said to be "difficult" to analyse in full.

Those playing a typical game of Ultimate Texas hold'em can expect payouts of 500/1 for a royal flush, 50/1 on a straight flush and 10/1 on four of a kind.
