Connors casino burns to the ground

A small casino with links to Jimmy Connors has been severely damaged by a fire.
The Alystra, which closed in 1998 after being open for three years, went up in flames yesterday evening, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Firefighters told reporters that they have yet to ascertain what was the cause of the blaze.
Praised for its looks, the Alystra opened its doors 13 years ago but shut down not too long after.
In 2007 the Las Vegas Business Journal implied that the casino may be about to open again, as legislators moved to get rid of a law that necessitated that all casinos in Henderson, Clark County be larger than 25 acres.
The chances of this happening appear to have completely vanished now, however, with firefighters saying that the building is damaged beyond repair.
Jimmy Connors is one of the most successful tennis players of all time and is perhaps best known for his rivalry with John McEnroe.
