Iron Man enjoys a gamble

Movie fans heading to see blockbuster comic book film Iron Man at cinemas this week will be treated to star Robert Downey Jr playing a game of craps.

The famous actor plays Iron Man's alter-ego Tony Stark, who gets drawn in by the popular table game while at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to receive an award.

It is not the first time that a famous film character has been shown enjoying a bet on the big screen.

James Bond is renowned for his love of baccarat and is seen playing no-limit Texas hold'em in the latest edition of the franchise Casino Royale.

Craps itself has also been seen several times, perhaps most notably in Marlon Brando vehicle Guys and Dolls.

The Iron Man scene establishes creator Marvel's links with the gaming industry even further, following on from their licensing of a number of CryptoLogic online slots over the past few years.
