The Poker Players Alliance (PPA), a non-profit membership organisation, is offering more value to its customers with a new litigation support network.
This free legal resource allows members to check their legal standing before setting up a charity poker tournament or starting a poker league.
PPA members can contact the network via the PPA website and obtain legal advice over the phone. They may be referred to attorneys in their area who have taken a special interest in US gambling law.
Attorney Patrick Fleming, who is also the PPA state director for New Hampshire, said: "The patchwork of state and local laws relating to poker is leaving PPA members confused about what is legal and what is illegal.
"In our ongoing efforts to protect the rights of Americans to play poker, the establishment of the Litigation Support Network will provide members with an added level of security."
The PPA currently comprises 995,041 members.
