New computer game 'allows people in casinos'

2008-03-19 16:40:53

The latest edition to the Rainbow Six computer game series will allow players to run missions inside casinos, it has been revealed.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which is released on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on Thursday March 20th, features a number of casinos in Nevada, as well as showing some of the state's less glamorous side, according to Spong.com.

"This latest batch of screens proves that beneath that flashy, glistering skin there's a world of car parks and warehouses that mirror the monotony of everyday life everywhere in the world," one journalist remarked.

Plenty of gambling action will still feature, however, with players having the potential to interact with slot machines and roulette tables.

There has been more than a dozen Rainbow Six games and expansion packs since the spin-off of the Tom Clancy novel first hit computer screens in 1999. A film version is due to be released in 2010.
