Big fight for Isleta Resort & Casino

Alburqueque, New Mexico's Isleta Resort & Casino has landed one of the biggest fights in female boxing.

Holly Holm, the local favorite who has fought at the venue many times, is set to defend the IFBA International light middleweight belt in a match against unbeaten middleweight champion Mary Jo Sanders.

The June 13th bout will be the third Holm has had this year - and her second at Isleta. The three-weight seven-time titlist has only lost one fight in her career and is unbeaten at the casino resort.

In Sanders she faces tough opposition, however, with the bigger woman no stranger to fighting at casinos herself.

Whatever happens, the fight is arguably the biggest in women's boxing today and Sanders hopes it will change a lot of people's opinions on the sport.

The boxer told Fightnews: "This is going to be a show that will hopefully break down the walls in women's boxing.

"We're changing people's minds about women's boxing, putting gender out of the way."
