Some 3,650 new jobs are set to be created in Florida, following an agreement between a casino operator and the state's governor.
The new staff members will help Coconut Creek, Hollywood and Tampa Bay casinos with new gaming offerings, the Associated Press reports.
Operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the casinos are able to offer blackjack, baccarat and pai gow as a result of a deal signed between leaders and Charlie Crist, Florida governor.
Dealers in the games, floor supervisors and pit managers are now needed at the casinos in order to let the games begin.
A recruitment drive is being launched this weekend, with newspaper ads and job fairs - as far afield as Connecticut and Atlantic City - part of the initiative.
Even before the recruitment initiative kicked off, around 150 people have applied for the new jobs, Jim Allen of Seminole Gaming told the Miami Herald.
