Palazzo 'sets new standard for casinos'

2008-02-04 12:02:52

Las Vegas' new casino hotel The Palazzo "has raised the stakes for future casinos" in the gambling hotspot, a website has said.

The Online Casino Advisory reviewed the latest Las Vegas Sands venture and called the resort a thing of "beauty".

It said the food was first rate and that it could not envisage how the hotel rooms could be any more luxurious.

The Palazzo sits on the Las Vegas strip and is linked with the Venetian Casino Resort and Sands Expo complex. It opened for the first time last month.

Promising to give customers "the epitome of luxury", room prices start from $199 a night on weekdays.

It cost $1.8 billion to make and features 3,000 suites, spread over a 50-story tower.

There is also a large amount of gambling space, featuring the majority of popular casino games from slots to Blackjack to Pai Gow.
