Charity poker tournament the "pick for Super Bowl week"

A charity poker tournament being hosted by Shawn Marion has been chosen by one journalist as the best event during the week of the Super Bowl.

Marion, who plays for the Phoenix Suns basketball team, is organising the event that will be attended by Eva Longoria, Shannon Elizabeth and a number of his teammates.

Steve Rosenbloom, writing for Chicagosports.com, called the Scottsdale, Arizona tournament "my pick for Super Bowl week".

Numerous charities will benefit from the tournament including the Shawn Marion Foundation and the Just For Kids Foundation.

Money will also be raised through Pamela Anderson's celebrity party. Those wishing to buy tickets can do so through All In For A Cause.

Anderson is married to professional poker player Rick Salomon who she met at a casino. The event's poster does not make it clear whether he will be in attendance.
