Trump to build casino in Massachusetts?

2007-12-04 14:46:44

Rumours are circulating that property mogul Donald Trump, founder of casino operator Trump Entertainment, is planning to build a new casino in Massachussets.

The Boston Globe reported Wonderland Greyhound Park owner Charles Sarkis as saying that Trump had contacted him with a view to building a casino resort together.

Licenses for three casinos in the state could be about to be approved after a proposal by the governor Deval Patrick.

It is possible that any bid from Trump will put him up against Richard Fields, the owner of Suffolk Downs, who also wants to build a casino in the area.

The two are involved in a $1 billion lawsuit against each other after a planned casino development in Florida that did not work out.

Casinos already owned by Trump's company include the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort and Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.
