Dividend announced by Ameristar

2007-11-16 17:13:40

Ameristar Casinos, a Las Vegas-based operator that owns Cactus Pete's Resort Casino in Jackpot, Nevada, has announced a share dividend to be paid next month.

The company, which first went public in 1993, will pay its shareholders £0.1025 per share on December 14th.

Ameristar owns eight casinos, spread over seven different states, with two in Missouri.

It was founded in 1954 when Cactus Pete's was built and since then the venue has hosted numerous star performers such as Willie Nelson, The Beach Boys and ZZ Top.

The gambling hotspot is the largest casino in Jackpot with 26,000 square-feet of gaming space, three restaurants and 300 rooms for guests. One of the restaurants is open 24 hours a day, every day.

Ameristar also owns Ameristar Kansas City, Ameristar Council Bluffs and the recently acquired Resorts East Chicago, which the company bought on September 18th this year.
