2007-11-13 16:47:29

Poker merchandising store and Bar Poker League (BPL) operator the World Poker Store (WPS) has announced an expansion of its business.

The company is to set up a new retail outlet in Washington as well as introducing its BPL to the state.

WPS already owns four stores in Minnesota and runs more than 100 poker tournaments in bars across that state and Florida.

Chief executive of the business Chuck Chastain said: "The World Poker Store and its affiliates around the world welcome the addition of the Washington market to our ever growing poker family.

"We look forward to our pre-holiday grand opening and promoting poker through the store and the BPL in the great Northwest."

WPS has an advisory board featuring the likes of Phil Hellmuth Jr, Johnny Chan and Marcel Luske.

Shares in the company are currently valued at just over $0.16 by the market.
