$600 million casino complex planned for Kansas

2007-10-09 13:31:14

Golden Gaming Inc (GGI) has proposed a $600 million casino complex in Wyandotte County, Kansas, it has been reported.

The Kansas City Star revealed the proposal which will see a casino, hotel, golf course and shopping mall built at the corner of I-70 and 110th street in Edwardsville-Bonner, if approved.

Chairman of GGI Blake L Sartini said of the 200-acre plan: "We are not here as the largest gaming company competing for a Wyandotte County location, but as a mid-size gaming company best suited to giving this project the time, attention and focus it deserves."

Wyandotte County has received seven similar proposals since laws were brought in allowing the operation of one state-owned casino resort in the area.

GGI is a casino operator based in Last Vegas.

It has over 3,000 members of staff working for them across Nevada and Colorado.
