Detroiter to come home to MotorCity

A native Detroiter has agreed to return home to help manage the new MotorCity casino resort.

Randall K Villareal, known to his friends as Randy, has managed dozens of resorts across the US, Europe and the Caribbean.

Mr Villareal has said he welcomes the opportunity to go back to Detroit and is keen to offer his services to his beloved city.

He said: "I am grateful for the opportunity to return to Detroit and apply my experience.

"I am committed to exceeding our guests' expectations [...] while further positioning Detroit as a destination city bursting with the best entertainment."

Due to open at the start of November, MotorCity Casino Hotel contains 100,000 sq ft of gaming space and a luxury hotel.
