MTV Awards hosted in Las Vegas casino

A famous Las Vegas casino hosted the MTV Awards last night, which were attended by big names like Justin Timberlake, the Foo Fighters and Kanye West.

The event took place at The Palms Casino Resort, which along with every other casino in Las Vegas, has been enjoying the influx of celebrities with money to spend over the weekend.

Taking centre stage was Britney Spears who performed her new single Gimme More, a performance that apparently left some observers cold.

"You know those things that you put batteries in and they just vacuum the floor without anyone touching them? That's what I think of Britney Spears," said the Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl."

The Palms Casino Resort comprises bars, restaurants, a 95,000 sq ft casino and a Playboy Club.
