Playboy Enterprises has predicted that the creation of a 40,000 sq ft casino and entertainment resort in Macao will generate around $4 million in revenues every year.
In a statement, the company said that it expects to contribute around $5 million to the Playboy Mansion Macao project in return for a 49 per cent interest.
Christie Hefner, chief executive of Playboy, said that agreeing to build the resort with Macao Studio City was one of the company's most significant accomplishments this year.
"Macao has vast growing power as a travel destination, with the number of visitors expected to double between 2006 and 2011," she said.
"Its enormous growth potential - along with the extensive entertainment, hospitality and gaming industry experience of our partners - makes this deal an attractive strategic move for the company."
Playboy Mansion Macao will include gaming rooms, restaurants, a pool, a villa-style hotel, entertainment venues and retail stores.
The complex will be situated next to the Lotus Bridge that links Macao and the mainland Chinese city of Zhuhai.
