James Bond knows poker, says blogger

Poker-players looking to improve their game could learn from James Bond, according to one blogger.

Writing on the LaunchPoker website, the blog states that 007 has had a range of successes at the poker table and eager players could pick up some hints and tips from the secret agent.

However, this advice isn't based on technical ability, but rather on how Mr Bond approaches poker.

"Class, charisma and concealment are what James can teach us about poker. Class is the ability to not only be polite, but keep polite no matter how poor the situation becomes," the blog argues.

Other techniques that can be taken from the secret agent are concealment. The blog states that Bond's opponents never know who he's working for and this strategy can be adopted by those looking for their own poker successes.

"Concealing your intentions and resources at the table will keep the other players wondering and worrying, the blogger explains.

The most recent Bond film has new James Bond - actor Daniel Craig - pit his poker-playing wits against Le Chiffre at Casino Royale.
