Gary casino gets electronic systems

2007-07-24 17:45:40

A casino in the Indiana city of Gary is trialling a range of electronic table game content delivery systems.

The Courier News reports that the Majestic Star Casino has installed Table Master Blackjack and Table Master Three Card Poker, which work as "community gaming devices".

Allowing room for five player positions, the units have a plasma screen as the focal point on which an image of a life-size dealer is shown.

This image can make card-dealing motions, speak and look at the players, who signal their decisions with a push-button system.

According to the newspaper, the Table Master games tend to attract players who may otherwise feel intimidated by a live setting.

In addition, the $1 minimum bet is reportedly low enough to entice all types of player.

The Majestic Star Casino is one of two casinos located on boats situated on Lake Michigan.
