A man who let off a firearm in a Las Vegas casino has had his bail set at $4.6 million, it has emerged.
Steven Francis Zegrean, 51, resident of Las Vegas, appeared via closed-circuit video at a court hearing and was charged with five counts of attempted murder.
He also stands accused of four counts of battery with a deadly weapon, 16 counts of discharging a firearm in an occupied structure and one count of burglary with a deadly weapon. Lawyer Lynn Avants told the judge that the defendant could not post bail.
The shooting took place at the New York-New York casino on July 6th.
The 2,000-room casino features a facade replicating the New York City skyline, a 150-foot Statue of Liberty and a Coney Island-style roller coaster.
