Next-gen games machines unveiled by Elixir

Gaming machine producer Elixir has announced the next generation of products to be produced through its partnership with VendingData.

A strategic alliance between the two firms is now to be extended, with Elixir's first branded gaming machine expected to be produced by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the company's GameStation product is expected to feature a catalogue of "hundreds" of games.

The GameStation's networking capabilities are also likely to be utilized via streaming video content and automatic game updates.

Gordon Yuen, chief executive officer of Elixir, said: "VendingData has proven to be an excellent long-term partner for Elixir Gaming."

"I am very pleased that a significant pan-Asian gaming machine participation business will be created within VendingData," he added.

A previous extension to the firms' alliance permitted Elixir to distribute VendingData's casino chips, shuffler systems and all future products developed by the manufacturer throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
