Prize presented to world's largest online jackpot winner

Supermodel Sophie Anderton was on hand to present the world's largest-ever online jackpot prize last week.

Ms Anderton handed 29-year-old Swiss blacksmith Omar Basseo $8 million after his victory on InterCasino's Millionaires Club Slot progressive game.

The winner was in "total shock" after his multi-million dollar win, describing the turn of events as "amazing".

"It will completely change my life. I still cannot believe it as I never win anything and this is the first time I have played," said Mr Basseo.

"I keep expecting to wake up and find this is a dream."

The new slots millionaire also said that he was unsure what to do with the money but that he was looking forward to treating his family to a "really great summer holiday".

Another slots winner was revealed by 10News this week. A Pacific Beach man won $3.2 million on a penny slot machine at Casino Pauma - a sum that could be the highest ever for such a machine, the report stated.
