The iconic palms casino in Las Vegas has announced plans for a star-studded gala to celebrate the opening of its new concert venue.

Named the Pearl, the $80 million state-of-the art concert hall will have seats for 2,500 ticket holders and be expected to increase the entertainment variety of the Palms.

The opening day gala will be held on Saturday April 21st of this year, and be headlined by a Gwen Stefani concert.

The Palms casino will attempt to break one Guinness World record as it intends to attract outside viewers with 160 sky-tracker lights, normally a feature of movie premieres.

According to the casino, this lighting spectacular will be seen from miles away.

Celebrities expected to attend to the opening ceremony include Dave Navarro, No Doubt, Paris Hilton and Kevin Connolly.

Tickets for the Stefani concert are already sold-out, but the after-show party at the Moon nightclub will be open to the public.

The Palms casino is owned by the prominent Maloof family, also owners of the Sacramento Kings NBA team.
